Alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl at Nuapatna village under Tigiria block of the district has fuelled tension in the region with the locals accusing the police of shielding the accused under political pressure.More than 100 women along with the locals on Monday staged a road blockade at Nuapatna while observing a total shutdown in the region protesting the failure of the police in nabbing the accused and demanding removal of the OIC of the Tigiria police station.
